2021 Donation Drive
Our Fall 2021 virtual donation drive runs from October 7th, 2021 to November 8th, 2021. Our goal is to raise monetary donations from our community partner, Better Period.
All proceeds from this donation drive will be used to purchase menstrual products (tampons, pads, panty liners) and other items (underwear, personal wipes, soap) that directly support menstruators, so they menstruate with dignity. These items will then be donated to local partners, including the Fresno State Student Cupboard and the Marjaree Mason Center, that serve populations that experience period poverty.
If you are more comfortable donating physical items, we are also accepting the following donated products: menstrual pads and tampons, panty liners, underwear (all sizes), personal wipes, hand wipes/hand sanitizer, OTC pain medication, and travel size toiletries.
All donations can be dropped off with Dr. Kartch. You can set up an appointment to drop them off by emailing fkartch@csufresno.edu.
Our mission is to end the stigma around menstruation.
Menstruation is a natural and healthy bodily experience that is stigmatized within our society. Our culture has branded menstruation as a “taboo topic” which not only makes it difficult to discuss outside of confined spaces, such as with a doctor or counselor, but hinders those in need of support and resources from getting the materials and education they need. Everyone deserves a dignified period. In order to achieve that, we need to end the stigma around menstruation.
